#1. Leonardo da Vinci. While he did few pieces of wildlife art, the few he did are lovely . . .

A beautiful sketch of a roaring lion, full of character and emotion. A masterpiece.

Leonardo also did a sketch of swans which is very beautiful.

#2. Picasso. He did several simple line-drawings of wild animals and birds.

So simple, yet superbly capturing the essense of penguin character.

The very essense of owlness !

Drawn with more expressive use of line, the ostrich sketch again captures character superbly.

#3. Durer. This German artist is well known for some of his beautiful wildlife art . . .

Durer’s “hare” is a superb piece of wildife art, with detailed and realistic rendering of the fur, and Durer’s own character invested in the artwork, as with all his works.

His rino is again an amazing piece of character-full artwork, although not all that accurate.
